I had just started using the 4 ohm coils and am running it at 60w 5 2v at 13 2 amps.
Smok al85 battery cap gets hot.
Iv changed the battery and changed the atomizer.
I have a smok al85 with mini beast tank.
Al85 is 2 months old.
The battery compartment cap gets too hot to touch on my smok al85 so yeah i m using a vtc6 only about a month old.
I own an al85 and i ve had it for a few months and recently i ve come across an issue while firing.
For example i m using tobeco 5 coil at 35w and 8 amps according to the device.
I ve not had a mod with a battery cap like this previous was an evic 2 so i m not sure is this supposed to happen.
If i press on the top of the battery cap i can get a pull off it for a while.
Battery life on the smok al85 depends on a variety of factors like the capacity of the battery the wattage you are vaping at and how much you re using the mod.
When you vape for a long time eg chain vapes more than 10puffs with high wattage it would give a too hot warning to protect the device itself.
I got a smok al86 about six months ago.
When i hit it more than 3 times it gets extremely hot to the point where i can t even touch it.
In addition nfix allows you to access all basic vaping data through a 0 69 inch oled screen.
Please take out the batteries if it s replaceable and let it cool for 15 mins.
Was working fine but recently the battery metal cap is getting extremely hot to the point where it burns my finger.
I ve used the factory supplied battery an 18650 and an awt imr 18650 3 7v 3kmah rated up to 50a battery.
Weird thing is if my thumb catches it i get a super quick hot burn similar to hitting the edge of a fry pan.

Too hot warning i.
I ve checked my batteries and all of the wraps still look fine no nicks or exposed metal where it shouldn t be etc but whenever i fire it the battery cap gets hot enough to burn.
In my experience you get about half the battery life on the alien 220w which makes sense since this one is powered by a single 18650 battery.
